We all know that content is king and the more fresh, unique, relative content you have on your site, the more it benefits your SERPs. Add to that the benefit of one-way, contextual backlinks and you know where I’m going.
Fact is, for a long time now, MyWebResource has been populated mostly by one person. There have been some contributors (and I thank you and have made sure you get the credit you deserve), but all in all, there have been very few contributors to this site considering the traffic it gets.
Knowing the above, I had to ask myself, why? What can I do to entice members to contribute more? Well, what is the universal motivator? Answer: $$$
On the old site, the best I could do was offer revenue sharing on the blog portion of the site. Now that MWR is fully powered by Wordpress, I can offer revenue sharing site-wide! That’s cool, but how can I take that a step further? Hmmmm…
How about giving contributors a 99% cut of all revenue generated through the Google Ads. Yes, you read right. Contributors to this site will collect 99% of the revenue generated from the Google advertisements. I will only collect 1% + the revenue generated from the Text Link Ads. This will cover my overhead.
So, why would I make such a bold step and give contributors so much of the profit? Simple, without contributors, this site will not grow. As a professional webmaster, I have a lot more to benefit from this site in knowledge. I know there are others who feel the same. You simply cannot put a price on knowledge.
So, how do you take advantage of this proposition? It’s quite simple!
- Register for a free account.
- Add your google_ad_client number, like so.
- Write a post relating to the topics this site covers.
That’s it!

It basically says that- for contributing, you will earn 99% of the adsense income of the website. And as the new owner of the website I have no problems continuing this. So go ahead write articles and make some money on the way.
